Why Forge Frameworks Exists
A short note on why we are building a modular software family for small and mid-size businesses — and what makes Forge different from the seat-priced incumbents.
Small and mid-size service businesses are stuck choosing between two bad options: spreadsheets that do not scale, or enterprise platforms that charge per seat whether the seat logs in or not.
Forge Frameworks is our attempt at a third option. A family of products — FieldForge, SiteForge, InventoryForge, TrainingForge — wired together through an optional integration layer called the Forge Hub. Use one. Use all of them. Pay for what you actually use.
The pricing model is not a marketing angle. It is the point. A low monthly base, then consumption billing for the things that drive real cost: SMS sends, GPS pings, photo storage, job minutes. A slow month should produce a smaller bill. A busy month should pay for the capacity you actually needed.
This blog is where we will share the thinking behind the products, the decisions we are wrestling with, and the occasional field report from the build.
